We are currently offering our services as curbside only. When you arrive for your appointment, please park in our lot or sit on the bench in front of our building, and call us 831-476-1515. If you forget your cell, come and knock on the front door. A receptionist will check you and your pet in. One of our techs will come meet you outside, go over the reason for your appointment, and bring your dog or cat into the hospital for their exam or treatment. If an exam is done, Dr. Miller or your tech will meet you outside to go over the results and recommended treatment. We provide you with estimates before completing treatment. At the end of your appointment, your tech will collect payment, return your animal, and deliver any take home medications or instructions necessary.
Curbside service began as a necessity to run safely during the peak of the Covid19 pandemic, however it has remained the most effective way for us to operate regardless of infectious disease concerns. Because of operating curbside, we are able to see many more appointments in a day while efficiently making use of our space, our time, and that of our clients. We are often able to offer same or next day appointments. Plus, this way of operating makes it easier to adapt to some unique needs of patients, such as those who may be reactive to other dogs or cats. We are also able to keep animals with possibly contagious illnesses separated.
We understand this mode of service is not the best fit for all clients. If you prefer to go into the clinic with your animal, there are many other veterinary hospitals in the area which currently operate in that capacity.
The one exception to our curbside policy is euthanasia procedures. We encourage families to be present for these procedures.
