Digital X-Ray
Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool that we use to look inside the body in a completely non-invasive way. Digital X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs. It’s an important diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illness.
The use of radiology is safe and our entire staff is highly trained. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of medical care possible, and this is just one of the many ways we achieve that. We can view and evaluate the image as soon as we take it.
Heartworm, FELV, FIV, and Lyme Testing
We provide in-house testing for heartworm, lyme, Feline Leukemia Virus, and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. These tests just require a quick blood draw and we can see the results within 10 minutes. A heartworm test is recommended and in some cases required before starting your dog on any heartworm prevention as well as every year while taking the prevention.
Bloodwork, Fecal/Urinalysis, and Pathology
We send out our blood, fecal, and urine samples to a dedicated veterinary diagnostic lab. Results are returned to us in about 24hrs. We call owners to go over all lab results once we receive them. If it has been more then 2 days (Excluding Saturday, Sunday, or holidays) since samples were collected and you have not heard from us, please check your voice mail and call us if you have further questions or if you haven’t received a message. Cultures and Cytology take longer to get results.
Ultrasound
For diagnostic ultra sound, we bring in a specialist on an as needed basis. If your pet may be in need of an ultrasound, Dr. Miller with first have to examine them to schedule this procedure.
